Margo

A few weeks ago I had the absolute pleasure of working with Margo (black and brown dachshund) and Polly (brown dachshund cross). Margo had become very pushy with Polly and as she was growing had become reactive creating fights within the home. It had become very stressful for Margos parents who were constantly on edge to make sure neither hurt each other too much.

I talked to their owners about body language, I showed them the moments Margo was being triggered and what they could do about it. We looked through videos together that they had sent and tried to help them understand the behaviour that they were seeing.

I then explained management and how they could manage the issue short term so the behaviour would stop being acted out.
